Now I can ask for help in a specific area. What helps best with reading? 9 yr old reading 1.5 level.

I’d say the Phono-Graphix approach described in the book “Reading Reflex” would likely be the most effective. However, it’s not a software program and is best done one-on-one. I am using this approach to tutor a 9yo boy with CAPD who was reading (jerkily, with many errors) on a 3rd grade level when we started. He’s now at a fluent 4th grade level after about 6 hours of tutoring (and daily 20-minute reading at home).
