I would like to know how I can improve attention spans and memories of children in my classroom that have problems with staying focused and remembering material that I have presented in class.
Re: inclusion attention and memory
Thank you for your response…actually I am a senior at Salisbury University in Maryland and we are doing a study on a heuristic question for my Inclusion class. thanks again

Re: inclusion attention and memory
How do you present the material? The more noticeable the presentation, the more likely they are to stay focused and to retain it. Have you ever been to a dull movie or read a dull book? Are you inclined to stay alert or do you ever dose off?
Teach in sound bites with breaks in between. Kids with attention span issues can’t stay focused all the time. But they can for a while if your presentation is inviting of their focused attention and meaningful to their level of development.
