I would like to recommend a ‘first’ resource/reference book to parents of a 6 year old boy (recently identified as a having a learning disability). They are well-educated in their fields but this is a new area for both. Any suggestions?
Re: Parent Resources
My favorite reference book is _Educational Care_ by Mel Levine. He breaks down learning problems into specific areas of concern and gives suggestions for both home and school.
My personal favorite first book is the “misunderstood Child” . It is very conprehensive, breaks down every area into sections and addresses them each.
