This site is a sham

If you actually read the posts, you will see that people are simply seeking a variety of information - and the board is extremely useful for that. If people on this board were brainwashed, they would believe what others are saying, and not look to this board for alternative information.

People are here because they are not willing to let themselves be “controlled.” America is a free country, which allows places like this for discussion. You are allowed your opinion, as we are allowed ours. I am sorry your opinion is not based in fact.

I beg your pardon…. We may be free ???? When was the last time someone wanted to bring up race issues in a free for all discussion ? I believe discussing affirmative action in a non politically correct statement can cost someone their job… Try it someday… and see what reaction you get…

You know Wei, if your objective is to rant and rave and you thought this was the place to do it, then you are right, this site is a sham, because it is not matching up to your expectations. Everyone has experienced unfairness in their lives, but spinning your wheels by whining about it, making blanket statements about things that “suck”, and not attempting to educate yourself or attempt to look for ways to make it better, leaves you where you are, obviously angry and unhappy. I hate to tell you this, but life is unfair. Get over it. Ironically, your rant (I’m assuming it’s yours eventhough it was posted under a different name) about affirmitive action, which was enacted to create more fairness for certain populations, seems to be a sore spot with you. You are right in that in certain contexts (like at work), it is inappropriate to get into a political debate, but you are free to do so on your own time, without fear of repercussion (as long as you are not breaking the law).

But the bottom line is that this board was not created for any of these purposes. This is a group of adults, who share common experiences and concerns because we all have ADHD. It’s a support group and a source of information. If you have any questions or posts related to having ADHD, please feel free to state them. I have a suspicion that you are someone just trying to get into a fight and that you have no real interest in the discussions we have, and if I’m wrong about that, then I worry that you may be having paranoid and/or psychotic thoughts. If that is the case, please tell your family and go see someone for help. I also think that you have been asked to do this before and posted earlier under the name “fu liu” attacking medical professionals, because you didn’t like what they said.

I may be wrong, but was free to state my thoughts.

Oh…. These so called professionals are just sucking your money down the toilet. Why don’t we all just do without the medications and start our own buisnesses. Some of these people posting to this board… I presume are living collecting SSI or welfare; food stamps etc. You know I just don’t understand American workers ??? Why do they let these employers screw em ? European workers would strike and stop transportation if an employer tried to take their pension away that was promised to them years ago. Why are the LD people just sitting back and suffering why don’t they do something like petition their congress to pass laws requiring a 120 day notice before a plant or workplace closing so the people cn plan for the future. Otherwise, insist on garunteed employment for the sake of social stability. Thanks.

i feel that franz has valuable points, and if everyone was not so closed minded and upset with the decisions that have been made for them they would see this. Dont be gulible, too many of us have been for too long, you have to take the good with the bad when it comes to these boards. Start with listening to what is being said(even if sometimes you have to read between lines) then try to understand. Most importantly Doctors are in BUSINESS as is drug manufacturers, they dont care about anybody but there families, Which are living very comfortable lives off everyones money. Meanwhile, we have people on unemployment and welfare, people willing to excet thier fate because a doctor or school tells them that is what is. Get the facts! Amaze yourselves!

The ldonline message areas are good sites it seems to me. The overall site is wonderful and provides good information.

I agree with you PGA this site is a nice site theonly thing that bothers me is the people that think that thier opinions are the only ones that are right, and not will to listen and understand where everyone else is coming from. I was just relying to a message in this subject.

I’m assuming you are referring to my post as closed minded. Even if not, I am sorry for it. I know I came off as mean. There were several posts popping up with snipe attacks at doctors, the list, etc that really weren’t constructive, nor were they asking for any sort of helpful response. So I was getting sort of sick of them. You are right that everyone’s opinion should be freely expressed. Actually, I think we agree that taking whatever advice, medicine, or future that is handed to you without questioning it, is not a good idea and that educating yourself and taking an active role in deciding your own future is what everyone needs to do. I was trying to say that too, just not very well.

Wow! I’m a newby….and I must say….there’s very much to be learned here. Even here on this topic. I’m glad I found it.

For those of you who agree then we all can stop posting to this person. Then the person in question will go away. We are way off topic here. Plus it is bad energy for us. I think we all are adult enough to recognize what is happening here and adult enough to let the kids go home to their moms.
