Re: homeopathic meds for ADD
There a few which I have tried that seem to work pretty well, although none with the efficacy of stimulants such as aderall, ritalin, etc etc. Some that are very good include Effalex, sold in most speciality homeopathic stores, its a capsule with numerous essential fatty acids. Gaba, also known as Butric Acid often makes me feel calm while at work. Obviously, a B Vitamin supplement is very benificial for anyone with ADHD or without it, make sure its daily dose exceeds 1000% of the reccomended dose to get a theraupic effect. High Lignan Flaxseed Oil is very potent in terms of essential fatty acids, I sometimes take a spoonful of it in the mornings, it also helps lower cholesteral and some studies show that it helps to maintain weight. The best brand of this is made by Barleen’s and sold in most any healthfood or vitamin store.
Re: homeopathic meds for ADD
I’m in the process of trying different things too. The things I have taken haven’t shown much benefit, but I just ordered a catalog a few days ago and hopefully will find something. I’ve tried vitimains, homopatic drops, mixes. I figure something should work. God put those plants in the world for our benefit, it just a matter of finding which one(s) does the trick. Plus, I want to stay away from that medication. Let me know if you guys find anything else.
Thanks
Carla,
I personally have not tried them, however I have a number of friends that have, with great success. I do have quite a bit of information for ADD/ADHD regarding the type of supplements that seem to work best. If you are interested—I can forward info to you or post it on this site.
