Fast Track Phonics Program -- SFA

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Has anyone used the Fast Track Phonics Program? It seems really good but I am thinking it’s more for the very young because of the animals etc. I am considering it for a special ed reading group with several 5th graders and some younger children. This year we have been using Phonographix and Abecedarian Programs but a couple of the students are still not getting it. This Fast Track Program is a part of the Success for All reading program. I have really not liked the program up until now but the Fast Track looks like it might be good. I just thought someone out there might could give me some input. Thanks.

Sorry, I don’t know about the program you mentioned. Have you tried the Sound Reading CD from http://www.soundreading.com ? I found that one very useful. The teen CD starts at the very beginning and includes all instructional material but omits the graphics that appeal to the younger set. Website is http://www.soundreading.com
