I thought I read about favorite materials before, but could not find it.
I need help. Please give me a list of your favorite materials to use in a Sp Ed classroom. Thanks a bunch.
Re: Best Sp Ed Materials to Use
I guess we could all post what we’ve put on the market — but I don’t have a “FAVORITE.”
It really does rather depend on the situation — that’s why it is SPECIAL education. www.rlac.com and www.epsbooks.com are two places I go to when I’m looking for stuff — they tend to have the stuff that my students a: can do and b: learn from doing. There’s an *awful* lot of busy work out there in the”mainstream” presses (that’s why so many of us resort to producing our own :-))
Now, if that’s a question to answer for a class you’re taking I haven’t really answered it — but if you really need materials suggestions, what is the situation? Age, skills level, what they need to learn how to do?
Re: Best Sp Ed Materials to Use
I’m going back to Sp Ed after 19 years in the regular classroom. There are not many of the materials there now talked about here except Math U See. I will be able to purchase quite a few. All grade levels will be covered, K-12. I want to spend my money wisely. Thanks!
Re: Best Sp Ed Materials to Use
Okay, now it makes sense ;)
Tho’ — in a new situation I woulnd’t invest until I could see the whites of their eyes, so to speak  If it’s a resource room situation go to this page and scroll down to “tips for a productive resource room” tho’ it’s got an emphasis on the older folks and generally if it’s K-12 the emphasis will be on the young ones.
