I just got of the phone with the resource teacher, seems like the problem is that Isaac is not telling her when he needs help. On his last report card we had a parent/teacher conference we help him at home all he needed was some organization strategies his grades have came up, however he needs help taking the test. The resource teacher said that all he has to do is ask, I will instruct him tonight to go to his resource teacher to take the test this should bring up his grade even more.

Your son will go far because you are giving him the support he needs but you aren’t letting him get away with mediocrity. Eventually he will do things because he wants to do it not because you are making him do it. It is great when you see the kids take ownership of their life and be successful while they are at it.
