I am interested in doing the Brainskills program with my son. In order to be as prepared as possible, I see there may be a seminar I can do in Colorado Springs first. Has anyone done this? The Brainskills.com websight doesn’t say when the seminars are. I have sent e-mails and left a message, but don’t know if I am contacting the right people.
Has anyone done this program or taken the seminar? My son is currently doing the Interactive Metronome and it is going well. He has slow processing speed, high IQ, good coordination, and inattentive ADD.
Thanks,
Karen
Re: Brainskills seminar
I called PACE and they don’t do the brainskills seminar anymore. They told me I could pay $2,500 and do the much lengthier PACE training. I’m not sure I can justify the price to my spouse or myself. I may go ahead and order the Brainskills program.
Has anyone used the Brainskills program and seen positive results?
Thanks,
Karen
Could it be that the seminar is for the full-blown companion program called PACE? For that, you need to go to a provider and become one yourself and that does require attending a seminar. Brainskills is a scaled-down version that you can do at home. It is also considerably cheaper. I believe they may have a video that goes with it that shows how to do some of the exercieses, and that is probably sufficient. I tried this for a while with my son, but he had a neurogical disorder at the time and the ticking metronome you use while doing the exercises drove him quite batty. You may try going to the PACE site and calling them up.
