IEP websites

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Does anyone have suggestions for good websites that have information about writing IEP’s. I am always trying to do a better job with them and would be interested if there were sites that offered information on writing goals and objectives, data collection, and assessment.
Thanks

Hi Doug,
Like you I am always looking to do a better job at what I do when it comes to IEP’s and in making sure that they are appropriately written and in my case aligned with content standards depending on the student’s ability level. I have found that CARS+ is a great resource for writing IEP’s. I don’t know what state you live in (since CARS + is based in CA) but I’m sure that the suggestions given in the Essential Goal and Objectives binder (or a CD ROM)they provide you with once you become a member will be useful and applicable to whatever it is your student needs. Also, I don’t know if your district has web based IEP programs, but my district uses the SEIS (Special Education Information System) and it has many good resources and suggestions for writting IEP’s. I hope this information is useful!
