Can anyone comment on this reading series? As I understand things, it is used in about 35% of schools but does that make it helpful to those kids who struggle? I also am under the impression that there are 3 levels per grade (low, middle, high) but in my son’s school they only purchased one level. My son is in the second grade and when I looked over the book I had a lot of reservations.
Thanks.

Re: McGraw-Hill Reading Series
Go to the Reading Genie site. This is an excellent site that gives links to the latest articles on reading. Scroll down and you will find a title Adopting a Reading Series. This is a review of several Reading Series. You may find answers to questions about McGraw Hill and other series. The site is www.auburn.edu/~marraba
P.S. I had trouble finding the ~ on the keyboad. It is located to the left of the numeral 1. If this doesn’t work go to Search and type in quotes”Reading Genie” and you can click and find it.
myn kids use this and have for the past few years. My son has trouble keeping up.The stories are long.My daughter seems to do well with it.So yes if a child stuggles like my son it is not good .Our school too only ordered one level too.
