When I try to read a book ( with small print like this, like novels and textbooks) I skip all over the place just reading odd words and trying to get the jist of it. If I try to read every word one after the other and read the sentences over and over so it sinks in I get a headache and usally get really spaced out afterwards. Does anyone else have this problem. Also I have a SLD but I’m not sure what kind of an LD I have. Aren’t there different types of LDs.
Re: confused
This kind of thing is re-trainable. Definitely see about glasses, possibly vision therapy may help, but *absolutely* some good coaching in reading skills from a knowledgeable tutor can make a big difference. This takes those three dirtly little four-letter words, harsd work and time, but yes, it can be changed. Contact me by email when you are sure you want to really put some effort into it and I’ll try to guide you where and how to get help.
Re: confused
Also, try using a small ( 6”) clear ruler; place it __*_just_under_*__ the test you want to read. Try it. I think this trick will help.

Maybe you need glasses? Sounds like it. Just an idea :-)
