Dragon Naturally Speaking vs?

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I have been researching voice recognition software and the one that I keep coming across is Dragon Naturally Speaking. Has anyone used this? Is there anything else out there that would be better?

Hi Tweetybird,
Dragon seems to be the best and most expensive.
Is it for a child or an adult, as many of them have a problem with children speaking.

Dragon works pretty good, you just have to keep talking to it so it learns of your speech pattern. A good microphone and not speaking directly in the Mike is a must.
By accident I found Microsoft speech recognition software in my Microsoft word. Click on tools then click on speech, if you have the software wizard will take you through it to install it.
