Financial Aid

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

My son is a 21 year old, soon to be graduate of high school in May. He will do so with a Cert. of Completion and we are interested in finding fin aid and/or mentorship programs involving music editing, recording, sound technology, and/or radio station entry level opportunities. We have been unsuccessful in responses (favorable or non) from local radio stations and this has always been my son’s dream career. Any assidtance would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Hello it me again. I have some suggestions that might help. You may have already done this. Find out where all of your local and regional radio stations are located. Also contact your sons school and ask if they would be willing to write a letter of recomendation on behalf of your son ( some of his teachers who may be friends). Then you need to go by yourself to these radio station Just like you would a job interview. But before you go find out if they are involved in a work coop program if they are you have a much better chance of success. Talk to them about your sons dreams .but dont let them feel any pressure from you at all .Leave one of those letters from your sons teacher with them. You can even do a mass mail you send all these radio station a letter from you as well as the letter of recomendation of your son. also contact some collages some one should now where who can train for radio DJs or news achorman. I do hope this helps. If your determined And ask God constantly You will be successful. Good Luck And God Bless you both
