Help! My 24 year old ADD, LD son lately has been leaving the water on his bathroom sink running and it consequently is flooding his floor and damaging his neighbor’s ceiling. He is in great danger of being evicted. He also is forgetting to lock his apartment door. Any memory strategies for solving these problems will be appreciated.
Also the management called us and said his apartment is a death trap and a pig sty. Any suggestions will be appreciated here how to manage his apartment.
He is doing great for the first time in his life socially and doing well academically. He also is well groomed so this in the next challenge.
Thanks for your help!!
Re: help needed so won't be evicted
Here is a simple solution. He needs faucets that are controled by a sensor like you see in public restrooms.
Perhaps you can go halves with the landlord. In the long run these devises save water.
His state voc rehab may pay for this sort of accomodation.
Reminders taped to the mirror? Install the type of faucets they have at airports?
Is he on medication?
