Hey, Newbie to the forum...

I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I’ve been reading some of the messages, and have found some of it useful.

As far as myself goes, I’m M 36, married, 3 kids. The reason I came around here is because, while I’ve never been diagnosed with a learning disability, I believe that I have one, and have been looking for information on them. I’ve always had trouble learning in a classroom environment, as well as learning through books. Also, whenever I start something, I never see to see it through to completion. I’ve taken the quiz at addresources.org, and it indicates that I have a LD. Over the summer I took a test with a psychaiatrist in town, and they said it looks like I may have a LD, but it more shows depression. I started seeing a pshycologist, but the sessions went nowhere, and I felt I wasn’t getting any help.

I really need to get some help, as I can’t keep on the path I’m going. BUt I can’t really afford to get any right now, due to my mismanaged finances. Any advice would be strongly appreciated.

Welcome!

What path do you want to get on? Reckon the first part of it is getting finances under control; are you finding a way to do that that isn’t going to cost you more? (THere are lots of people looking to sucker people trying to get things back together :( )
