Learning Disabilities in the workplace
What would your work day look like if your company was aware, understood and accepted learning disabilities in the workplace?
Since I could not get the “equal opportunity” to obtain traditional, salaried employment with health benefits after finally graduating college last May at the age of 34, I ended up using the one gift I have ( I am a numbers wiz) to obtain professional investment brokers’ licenses. I am an investment/stockbroker affiliated with an independent brokerage firm. My office is in my dining room, and my workplace is constructed to MY needs and liking. I am in the process of getting on my feet, deferring student loans, and will be building a successful branch office for which I will be responsible for one or two brokers underneath me as their division principal.
