Need advice

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hi, I am currently a student physical therapist. I am working on my doctorate of physical therapy and last year it was mentioned that I get tested for an LD. So I took a leave of absence to be tested. I have a reading LD and writing expression LD. Any advice on how to improve my reading? Currently I am reading approx. 6-7 pages per hour. With my program I am assigned about 120-300 pages a night. Also, I would like some advice on how to study. Right now after the lectures I come home and reread my lecture notes. Most of the time the information still does not make since. I have falled behind and need help in improving my reading and studying skills. Please let me know if you have any advice on how to help me. Thanks so much! ~*Stacey*~

I’ve heard about software that can read to you… you scan the text and then a program read it out loud on your computer…

This british article compares products and prices of text to speech programs.

I saw that one of the articles on dyslexic.com was called how to take notes. I didn’t read it but you might find it interesting.
