OK. I have something to report. I am a “Research/Teaching Assistant” at northern New Jersey (USA) small University. A professor (man) Dr. CB asked me to photo copy one “master set” of readings of collected texts from a special-bound book (not to staple the copy). He would create sub-sets (booklets) for later instruction. He is not the problem on this issue. The secretary, Ms. CM is. Dr. CB said the students should photocopy their booklet, and return the original copy to me. I told Ms. CM about Dr. CB’s instruction. She said, don’t we need copies of the booklets, for each assigned students? I had asked Dr. CB to tell Ms. CM about his instructions, earlier, in her presence, but she said that was unneccesary.
There was no written supplemental directive from Dr. CB (who is a professor). This is what has been happening recently, these kinds of things.

Re: Need feedback: Co-workers (older) "disbelieving" me....
Good day Joe,
I would recommend that whenever possible that you ask people giving directives that they forward also an email to your attention. In this manner, you will have it in writing what they desire and there should be little conflict later on.
I hope this helps!!
You might want to consider going postal. That may get some attention.
