re-evaluation

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Does anybody have any information about adults being re-evaluated for LD. Let’s say you were diagnosed with LD when you were a kid and havn’t been re-evaluated since. I gues the queation is…Should you be re-evaluated and when?

I guess if it was me I would only worry about being reevaluated if you were in the need of addition accommodations or if you feel that your LD has deteriorated, meaning that you have noticed not being able to perform as you used to be able. I think you could do this if you noticed an improvement to just to get an understanding of where your capabilities stand. I think the time and the money would say only do this when you can notice a change or feel there might be something else that could help you out relating to what you are required or want to do. Also if you are thinking about going back to school they may want to have you reevaluated.
