Relationship with Spouse

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I’m a contributing editor at Ladies Home Journal and have written about learning disabilities before. I’m working on a story about how you can learn about your spouse through your children, and am looking to talk to the spouse of someone who was diagnosed with LD after a child of theirs was diagnosed LD. The point of my story is that children often give us insight into our spouses, and I’m wondering how this diagnosis impacted the husband-wife relationship.

Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you would like to contribute to this article.

Thank you—Jeannie Ralston

I’m not married or have any kids but I’ve written a book about L.D. and how it afects family and friends and if a spose has it then atleast one of the kids will have it. My dad have it, I have it much worse but after all the people I’ve talked to about it they all say it runs in the family. Being single is not fun because it’s hard to find a women who will understand me or people with this.
I did e-mail ya but my P.C. is messed up so if ya don’t get it let me know.
