Re: self help for ld
I didn’t see your post either. But of course lately I have not had a lot of time to check out the boards. Once I found out my problems. I set my mind on over coming the problem.I try to find books written in that area. Things that help me are double checking my work. Sometimes two or three times. There are times where I can not see my mistakes until someone else points that mistake out to me. I so I will go ask someone if they see any mistakes. Once you become aware of your problems it’s easier to see and change. At least it is for me. Also I work on techniques on helping myself.
self help
maybe the question was not clear.
what i meant to ask was -
there are lots of assistive techniques out there. lots of computer programs that reads to you, writes for you, correct your spelling mistakes etc’
courses online that a person can take.
i was wondering if anyone got a first hand experience with any of those and get some feedback.
thanks

I didn’t see your original post nor can I find it now. but I’ll try to answer.
I’m not sure I understand the question. I think its great when I find or think of a way to help myself. I’ve got all sorts of “cheats” in my office to help me do my job. Most of them or pretty general and others in the office sometimes copy them. For the most part, I don’t even realize I’m doing something different than everyone else unless someone points it out.
