I am working with students to form a group for socialization with a student who has multiple disablities. I am searching for information on the “Circle of Friends” program.
Can anyone assist me? R

the O.A.S.I.S. website lists some information on circle of friends…
Re: Developing a Circle of Friends
Can you be more specific on the Web site. I tried to look it up and couldn’t find it.
Thanks!

Hmmm, I know I learned about it through a Barry Prizant workshop. He’s a specialist in autistic spectrum disorders and apparently had hooked up with someone in Massachusetts…I think… who developed the Circle of Friends idea. He showed a video of how it works- looked fantastic and I have since established similar groups at schools. I can’t find my materials for name and contact information, but why not check his website for information. Just enter his name in a search engine- he’s based in RI.
