My name is Michael Murphy. I am a Psychology student at Clark University in Worcester, MA. I was diagnosed at age 22 with NLD, after spending my entire public school education in special ed classes, for “unspecified” learning disabilities. I am now a senior, after seven years of college, and doing my senior thesis under the supervision of advisor David Stevens, PhD. I am looking for other individuals with Nonverbal Learning Disabilities to participate in a research study regarding their experiences in school. If you are interested in being interviewed, I will travel to you. You may qualify for this study if you:
Are 18-25 years old (16-17 with written parent permission)
Attended (or are attending) public school
Are willing to be interviewed for about 30- 45 minutes
Live in New England, especially in the greater Boston area
