My son who was classified 9 years ago as PI has had an IEP and has done great in school. We held him back in 2nd grade which was the hardest dession we ever made BUT for him was the right one. and now in 10th grade he is an honor student who is motivated to do well. My question is this. the school has suggested to move hime to a 504 and I am very comfortable with the IEP (like an old shoe) I don’t understand the advantages of the 504 vs the IEP.
Can anyone advise their experiences.
