Hello, I am a college student in California. In one of my classes I am doing a dissertation. Re: Can you please help me by answering some survey question
Sorry, a bit of confusion here regarding “public” vs. “county” schools. Do you mean public vs. private or parochial schools? In the five different states that I’ve lived in, the public schools are run by the county. It might also provide broader spectrum to your research if you were to include input from “functional” autistics themselves.
kindest regards,
John
I can apprieciate your quizz but are you aware that those of us with Learning Disabilities are not in the classification of pervasive Development disorders. I am a Canadian who struggles with a Learning Disability although I have great empathy and an education to aid persons with Developmental Delay this dose not include those of us with Learning Disabilities. I can understand you’re confusion though as those of us with Learning Disabilities are of average to above average intellagence, our problem is in the processing of information. It seem a dis-sevice that we are doing to both side of the coin because as the new term that is being banttered about is the term Globally Learning Disabled this for those individuals who fall in to the category of the 2 standard devation point below the norm on the I.Q. scale 70 that being for developmental delay.
The best way to maybe to remmber what the difference between Learning Disabilities and Developmental Delay (which includes Autism ) is that those with L.D. think in olympic circles and those with developmental delay think in a circle. Both have their unique difficulties but those of use with L.D. have the overabundance of convoluted thinking (we are the creative thinkers such as Michealangelo , Henry Winkle, Albert Enstine , Winston Churchill and such ).
Good Luck on Your servey but you may have hit in to the wrong page
