I was wondering if anyone teaching in the NYC area had seen announcements for any conferences, workshops, or seminars on teaching students with disabilities within the next few months. I currently teach a cross-categorical class and would like information on such events. Thanks!
Re: seminars/conferences in New York
Hi Jennifer,
I live in NYC, and in the course of looking at LD schools have come across 2 that do sponsor teacher training. One is Churchhill http://www.churchillschool.com and the other is Windward http://www.windwardtti.org/indexlarge.htm.
The best conference in the country is NY’s Branch of IDA. I believe it will be in March or April at the Marriot Marquis. (and I’m from Florida - with no NY relatives.)
