My 12 year old son takes adderral for 5 month now. In the beginning we were excited about the chance it brought. Now, I am not so sure anymore. He acts really strange sometimes. He can laugh very hysterical and is a lot of times not able to control his stuburn behavior. He has trouble reading the seriousness when people try to talk to him.
I know, it is also the age, but does adderral have anything to do with this behavior? It is really hard to deal with and it brings a lot of stress in our family. Any body who can tell me more about this?
Thanks.
I have raised two boys..One is almost 22 and the other almost 17…When they were going through puberty they became so goofy sometimes it drove me bonkers.. They could also cry at the drop of a pin….It could be the meds…but I would bet my bottom dollar your son is starting puberty, learn to laugh and remove yourself when you can’t take it anymore…tell him when he has gone too far and he needs to chill out too.. :-)
