My daughter sat in a hospital room today….I am taking her to Children’s Hospital to make sure that it is not a medical condition and only stress. I know it is stress because Childrens has done many test on her from birth to age 4. As I said, she is a twin and happened to be the one that had medical problems at birth.
After taking her home from the area hospital…I went to her school. They are moving her as I type. They are giving her a lovable sweet teacher. They decided that this would serve her needs the best. It just happens that , this teacher tutored my oldest with LD over the summer. I am very pleased and would like to thank everyone that told me to document.Without the papers, letters and various homework assignments saved. I would only have the stress issue. I would tell any parent save all papers and document everything. If you feel something is wrong…stick with your instinct.
Today, I saw my sweet lovable child smile for the first time in a month.
Re: To all that helped
Best wishes, so glad to hear the great news!!!!!!!
One word of advice, continue to doc even though you are happy with the placement and her current disposition. Like all kids with LD, things could bottom out at any time.
Not to be gloom and doom, just better safe than sorry. That’s where we’re at now with the 5th grader.
Good for you Michelle. Documentation is the KEY. I bet your daughter keeps on smiling.
