Can anyone give me there best guestimate on the names of two attention test?

The first one you stare at a computer screen and when you see the letter A you press the space bar.

The second test you listening to a cassette and every time you hear A you raise your hand.

One common one is the TOVA (test of visual attention). These types of tests are referred to as “continuous performance tests”.

I searched for the TOVA and did find some websites but they said that the test consists of the patient being shown a geometric design. My brother was shown letters, the letter A to be exact. Everytime he saw the letter A he was to press the space bar.

Then he had to listen to an audiocassette and raise his hand when he heard an A. It was one letter per second. I am not sure how valid the second test is becuase he has APD and the Dr. said that as well.

I am not sure if this is a different test?

Thanks
K.
