Hello, i live in Wales, U.K. and have 6 Daughters, Rachel is number 4 and was diagnosed with ADHD last year, after years and years without nothing. Services for children are few and far between with long waiting lists and lack of qualified staff, Rachel is at secondary school and has a carer full time.
We currently have a lot of on-going Mental health problems with Rachel attempted self-harm, overdoses, in trouble with the police, smoking, and very sexually aware in speech, has any other parents with girls come across this ? she is not on medication due to side-effects, epilespsy.
Please contact me for a chat or to pass on any advice, thank you
Debbie
You could be describing my daughter - age 14. It is a toughie. I want so badly for her to be conservative and to reach her full potential, but she struggles. I try to find what she is really good at and reinforce that, not delving into the problems all the time, but it is a struggle.
What are your daughter’s strenths?
