Client’s child has Dysgraphia
Need Help finding association, clinics/treatment centers, financial support and support group.

Nina,

The school has a certain responsibility. Has this child be dx by the school? What program are they using? Has an independent eval been done by a neurophch? What was his/her recommendation.

Just as dyslecxia is a hugh umbrella, so is dysgraphia.

Sorry, more thoughts….

support groups….check the school for special ed PTAs, this is a good group, schwablearning.org is good, have her look up her PTI on this site or schwab and call them.

clinics/treatment…to varied depending on the need for me to specific. Start with a school eval. If she can afford it call your local Learning Disability Association for the name of a nueropschoigist Note testing runs $1,000 to $3,000 and usually about 1/2 is covered by insurance.

Financial support…hard to come by. Unless the child is very, very disabled I have no suggestions on this one.
