What is this, exactly?
I have a younger sibling who is like those in posts that mention this as being helpful.
Is it a book or a method of learning of flashcards? Would Amazon have it?
Thanks!
Re: Fast Forward
It’s a computer software program that works on retraining the auditory system to process the sounds of speech more efficiently. It has to be supervised by a certified provider. Quite a few parents purchase the company’s self-training tutorial to become certified providers, to save on provider costs.
The tutorial kit costs $100, and the FFW program costs $850 (sometimes discounted to $650), so it’s not an inexpensive program. Also, you need a computer with a high quality soundboard and good quality earphones. Recommended protocol is about 100 minutes of training 5 days a week for 8 weeks.

A few school districts have FFW and will provide it if requested (assuming the child qualifies for special ed services).

Re: Fast Forward
I have just become certified in providing FFW for my son. We are on our second week of excercises. It is quite intense but it seems like my son is enjoying the “games”. I have to say that the hardest part is keeping him motivated to stay on task. FFW requires the child to do 5 - 20 min. excersizes a day, 5 days a week for 6 to 8 weeks. My son has an auditory processing problem. He is in the 2nd grade. I will let you know if I see any significant improvements.
