Fighting for SERVICES

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hi,

I am REALLY hitting a wall with this…..Our ins only covers 60 days per dx and then you are on your own. I have applied for both SSI and MEDICAID and OF COURSE we have been denied due to my husbands income. I was told that there are programs out there to help us to get more services (ie therapy) for our children!!! BUT THE QUESTION is WHERE AND HOW. It seems that this has become a DOUBLE TIME job for me.

Does anyone out there have any information or could someone guide me in the right direction. I have a 7yo with Asperger’s syndrome, SI, ADHD, echolalia, attachment disorder, Non Verbal Learning Disorder, and then there is my 3yo with MAJOR ADHD issues…..

Thankyou

have you tried medipass services? Or developmental services? I don’t what state your in,but in Florida medipass is for any disabled child who needs services. The waiting list is LONG,but it is worth trying to get on it.
