I think I’m getting paranoid but I’m starting to wonder about our fluoride intake. We have well-water so we have to supplement with fluoride tablets. I’m not sure there is clear-enough evidence that fluoride causes ADHD but I don’t like the way kids get fluoride from the doctor without consideration as to other sources of fluoride that the child may be getting (school water-supply, beverages such as fruit juice or soda etc…) We’re going to get our well-water tested to see if we have any natural fluoride in our water. Has anyone ever given this whole fluoride issue some serious thought?
Fluoride
I have no links to give you, but I have read that ingesting fluoride doesn’t really have much effect on teeth, and fluoride is known to be poisonous in large dosages. They tell children not to swallow fluoride toothpaste, so that should be a clue. I would focus on brushing and keeping the calcium/magnesium intake in good shape, rather than adding fluoride. It sounds like a highly overrated intervention.

Well we had our well-water tested and we do have natural fluoride in our well-water. Using the suppliments from the doctor results in over-dosage. It feels good to get rid of yet another unwanted chemical!
