Hi!
It is so vitally important for teachers and parents to
work together.I know we hear this all the time, but it
does make a difference.
Communicate with each other all the time.
One problem is the frustrations that can
exist on both sides of the table!
Never assume that each teacher your child comes in
contact with, has read the IEP.
YOU make the copies and deliver them to each person.
Be proactive!
If you ever need help with IEP writing and want
suggestions for goals and benchmarks that would be
appropriate for your child check out
www.pleasetutorme.com or email
[email protected].
There is a consultation service associated with this
online tutoring site.
The greatest strength for a parent at an IEP meeting
is information, preparedness and knowledge.
