I am pretty sure that I read on this board that it helps to give your child the meds before they need to be up in the morning and let them go back to sleep.
This has changed our lives!!!!!! I now give my daughter her Adderall at 6:30 in the morning and wake her up at 7:00 to get ready for school. What used to be an hour of yelling and frustration that left me feeling horrible all day, has turned into normal mornings for all!! Before we did this I would send her into the bathroom to brush her teeth and before the door closed she was distracted and playing with something or other. Now she is much easier to direct. I can count on her to do what needs to be done to get out the door. She even comments on how much easier the mornings are and how much more fun we have together. She even reads to me on the ride to school. Doesnt sound like much of an achievement if you dont have an ADD kid, but Im sure you all can relate to the joy of it!!!!
Thanks so much!!

Glad to hear some happy news of meds! My son is on Concerta and I really don’t see that much of a change. We have another appt. with the Pedi to hopefully change meds. Good luck and smiles to you here!!! ;)
