Hi!
I know there should be someone out there who can answer my question. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this board.
Has anyone heard of Paul Copperman and his reading program? I guess he’s written several book one of whic is Taking Books to Heart.
He has a program called reading programs and they work with colleges and universities throughout the U.S. to teach reading skills, study skills, comprehension, etc. to children and adults. I’m interested in this program for my 7th grade daughter. I have taught her to read using PG and we did two years of Audiblox. She’s doing pretty well in school - honor roll last year. But, I feel she needs something to help with her study skills, comprehension, etc. The cost isn’t too bad and the class only meets for five weeks (once a week) and supposedly they have good results. I’m going to go check out their website www.readingprograms.org and see what else I can learn.
If anyone has heard of this program or has any experience with it, I would appreciate both positive and negative comments.
Thanks!!!
