IE - Instructional Enrichment or Mediated Learning

I have researched this and know what it is. I understand that it is a cognitive therapy to help children learn how to learn. My question is- Has anyone ever seen results from this?

My son just started IE this year, but there is so much going on in the school in terms of remediation that I do not really know for which improvement I shall credit IE… I know that a lot of effort is devoted into precise use of language in terms of describing a problem and it’s solution.
