Has anyone tried Interactive Metronome?? It sounds very promising and has an excellent reputation. But I would like to hear from parents who have experienced this first hand.
I have a 6 year old son with LD and combo ADD/ADHD and Epilepsy and I am desperately searching for real help! Comments?

Re: Interactive Metronome
Thanks for the reply Beth.
In PA the only place offering IM is Harmarville Rehab hospital and I just spoke with the OT at length yesterday. She did say that his age might be an issue but she would not know until she did her evaluation. She also said she can modify the program to simplify the process. I am not sure what that really means without actually seeing how this therapy works.
For us, the Rehab center is a good 1.5 hours away and the therapist said 3 to 5 days per week @ 1 hr. each session, so I am concerned that with school and the drive this might be too much for him. We might have to wait until next summer.
Does anyone have any success stories on what worked for your child that we can try in the mean time?

I found IM extremely helpful but I think you are on the right track to consider other therapy first for a child this young.
Some have found the listening program helpful as a precurssor to IM. Our IM therapist lives in New Hope PA so if you are near that I could put you in touch with her.
Re: Interactive Metronome
Linda,
What other types of listen therapy is there? Can you give me some names? I will be seeing my son’s OT on Friday.
We live 35 miles south east of Pittsburgh, so I believe we are not close to New Hope.
Is there a web site that lists Occupational therapy ideas?
Dana
There are a number of us who have done IM with our kids, with somewhat varying results. It was wonderful for my child. You can search on this board and the ADHD one for old posts.
I would caution you though that age of child has been raised as an issue and the consensus has been that six is too young. My son was 9.
