Just Diagnosed

Was this through testing at school or through a private neuropsychologist?

Seems a bit unclear. Is it, perhaps, a non-verbal learning disability?

I typed the diagnosis incorrectly - this is all new to me - it is Learning Disabled - not otherwise specified. He was tested thru the school and they said there was nothing wrong with him and he would just have to learn to compensate for his poor spelling himself - I took him to NYU this summer and just received the feedback yesterday - have to wait about another 3 weeks for the written reports.

Any information anyone could share to a newcomer would be appreciated.
