I tried to use Language Wise with my son and he liked it, so I wanted to keep this activity.
Since English is not my first language obviously I am not really that Language Wise myself- and not in English in particular (I am definitively a “non-verbal” person myself).
I haev teh book and wanted to supplement it with their materials, so I am asking for recommendation/comments what shall I buy from them, especially from parents/teacher who were using this approach.
My son will be 11 next week.
I was thinking about:
Language Wise Support Manual-Home/Clinic Use
Not sure about:
Memory Minder (could create my own??)
Vocabulary Builder (not sure whether appropriate for my son’s- age??)
Go Fish for Analogies Card Game (any body used it?- my son loves playing “Go Fish”)
Matching Wits Scotland
NOTEWORTHY NEWS
Thanks, Ewa
I do not think the Support Manual would be useful to you. Basically, it is a set of blank worksheets for different activities, designed to be filled out by someone who wants to submit their work in order to become certified in Language Wise.
Having not seen the other items, I cannot comment on them.
What I would suggest is calling the company and talking to a representative so that you order only those items likely to be helpful to you. (The Go Fish game sounds interesting!)
