LMB is a highly respected approach that has been around for about 20 years. The centers ensure that the tutors you are getting are well-trained in the methodology and actually using it in their practice.
The downside of LMB centers is that they tend to be very expensive. Although some children seem to need LMB, most children respond just as well to Phono-Graphix, which is much newer, takes much less time, and is much less expensive. A lot depends on the individual child’s needs.
LMB website is http://www.lindamoodbell.com.
PG website is http://www.readamerica.net (I think. This may have changed.)
