changed my post name as there are many more cathys posting now . My question is this….. a friend of mine told me that according to new regs the LD kids taking the “ELA’s (englesh reading and writing tests ) can no longer have accomodations such as having the questions or choices read to them and the dyscalculia students can’t have calculators for the math section either ? Is this true.. any NY teachers out there ? If so what is the sense of taking the tests ? My daughter is dyslexic and she will just sit and look at those tests . Should I just keep her home?
