Has anybody heard about this Cognitive/Attention computer program? It is supposed to help ADD/ADHD and uses technology NASA astronauts and Airforce pilots uses to stay attentive in the cockpit. Have been used by some school and families. I would like to hear from parents or teachers who have use this product. It is pricey and was wondering if it was worth investing in it. Supposed to take 40 to 60 hours to gain benefits from it.
Re: Play Attention
Thanks Beth, yes I have checked up on Interactie Metronome. I am always look for alternatives to meds (even though my son is on meds). So I thought I would get some info/input on this.
ATTENTION TRAINER
I tried the Attention Trainer which is similar to Play Attention. It was definitely not worth the money ($1500). The equipment never really worked correctly, we would spend 1/2 hour just trying to get the helmet calibrated. We spent the whole summer fighting with this thing and I can honestly say I didn’t see any improvements in my 9 year old son other than frustration in trying to play these games. I made numerous calls and they did send me new equipment but it never worked right. The company was supposed to call me weekly for consultations, (I called them once) and they never called me back for my weekly consultations. I was supposed to have an exit consultation but once I mailed the equipment back I never heard another thing from them. I think they knew I would not be a good spokesman for this product. I wish I had never spent the money on this. The concept was good but it never worked correcty.
I remember reading about this a year or so ago and the reviews weren’t great. Have you tried Interactive Metronome? There are sound studies supporting its use with ADHD kids.
