um, I didn’t know where to post this.
I am not a child anymore, but i thought someone over here might be able to help me understand a test that was given to me when I was 12.
It was called a WISC iii, and its results revealed I had a discrepancy of approximately 60 or 70 pts.
My verbal was the lower one.
I was not told my IQ, but later qualified for TAG and assumed it to be in the 130s.
My guess for how to label my scores would be 100 for the verbal and 160-70 for the performance?
I was told the discrepancy would have meant something if the verbal had been lower, but I still felt it might have meant something more than anyone was realizing or sharing with me.
If someone has an answer or site to refer me to, I would really appreciate it.
Connie
Any time there is a discrepency of more than 20 points between the 2 scores it indicates there is a possible LD.
