Read "teaching in an inclusive classroom" subject

Have you read “teaching in an inclusive classroom” subject” IEP” author “Ruby” ? It gave me an insight into what I had been dealing with this year. To see the same modification -preteaching of concepts-that I have for my child and Ruby asks when would she be able to do that ,makes me shudder to think she didn’t do it with her students that had it on their IEP because she didn’t have time.I don’t know if Ruby talked to the learning support teachers ,speech pathologist ,principle or even the parent about following through on the IEP. I would have loved getting the concepts or vocabulary words in advance so my child could understand class disscussions. What would you do to rectify this situation ?

I read it and responded to her comment. I am absoultely horrified but I guess I am not surprised. I experienced it myself. My son’s teacher told me she didn’t have time to read his IEP (all 3 goals).
In my opinion its really going to require teachers to step up to bat for these kids. Things will not change just because parents think they should. Its going to require teachers refusing to take on these tasks that are humanly impossible. INCLUSION IS NUTS!!!!!! for kids who require more than simple assistance to achieve educational benefit.
