SuccessLab? Bridges Learning? Sensory Motor Integration

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

In my research looking for resources for my son I’ve run across a place called SuccessLab (www.successlab.com). From what little I’ve read it appears that they are similar to Bridges Learning (www.bridgeslearning.com). Both use techniques based on Guilford/Meeker SOI (Standards of Intellect). The theory has been around for a long time and I believe was originally used for the gifted. Somewhere along the line someone figured out that it would be good to use the techniques on learning disabled children.

What intrigues me is that they figure out why the child is having difficulty and work on those areas. The basic techniques are sensory motor integration. Intuitively I feel that this is getting close to what my son needs. I’m taking my son for an evaluation on Wednesday. I’m very curious about the program.

I tried searching this site and the forums but didn’t find find any info.

If anyone has any input, I’d greatly appreciate it.
