Since you all have been such a huge help and support to me since I found you in April just thought I’d let you know I had a great day.
My son finally got re tested the psychologist spent 90 mins with him and 30 mins with me finding out all my concerns and taking notes.
He agrees with me that all kids should be tested every 2 yrs. to see if programs are working. He agrees that my son should be getting some mainstreaming in a strong area, he legitimized my concerns for the slow progress in reading. I took a grocery bag full of school papers and was going to show some examples. He kept the whole bag he wants to take time to go through it and get test results also.
He will call me and set up a meeting with the Supervisor of the LD Unit and wasn’t sure yet who else.
This is the first meeting about my son I have left feeling good and not crying the whole way home.
