There’s a summer camp for dyslexics in Wyoming, next to Yellowstone National Park. It’s a six-week residential program that provides one-on-one Orton-Gillingham instruction and an array of other academic services. All the tutors work at year-round schools for dyslexics.
The outdoor portion of the program, which occurs every afternoon, includes horseback riding, mountain biking, rock-climbing, and canoeing. Campers stay in cabins with experienced staff and spend weekends engaged in non-academic, camping-oriented activities. The camp has a website: www.shoshonesummer.com, and you can also contact the directors at [email protected]. The camp phone number is (307)899-9900.
